There are several things I need to catch up on, but most recently I went to a renaissance festival in Charlotte, NC with some friends.

This year I planted Zinnias from seed and was surprised and pleased with how they turned out. I was also thrilled that my cone flowers returned and that the butterflies enjoyed them all!

The last weekend of May, my parents and I went to Gibbs Garden in Georgia.
This was actually at a shopping center before we went to the garden.

The days are flying by. I realized this is the first post of the year and the year is already almost half-way through. But here are some Easter pics, of course, mostly involving sweet Evelyn.

December 2024
December started out with a bang as Abbeville celebrated the 250th anniversary of the
revolutionary war. The cannon was actually fired.
After that I had a church door and window photo shoot in town.
Later in the month we had second Christmas at Mema's.
Evelyn enjoyed opening everyone else's gifts before she left for Wisconsin.

First some special surprise guests arrived, then we set up the new electronic picture frame that was her main gift. From there we revealed the Happy Birthday video with all the Stevens clan that we recorded in Virginia. Later we had a delightful tea and short train ride.

Earlier in May, Benjamin and Melanie invited me to come along to their library to get Evelyn her library card. Our first sight upon arrival was a cool, but very loud train. After getting her card, we went to the kids room to read board books. 5/26/24

More September Adventures
Miniature Trains in Taylors, SC
Earlier in September Benjamin, Melanie and I went to Little Debbie Park in Collegedale, TN which opened just this Summer*2023*. After that we went to our favorite bookstore.
On the evening of the 4th of July Mom, Dad and I went to see the topiaries in Greenwood. It was the perfect time of day as we moseyed through town.
My favorites are the cow and the elephants.

Easter 2023
Some highlights of Easter were: trying a new tea room, lovely table settings by Mema with delicious food, Melanie's hand-picked flower arrangement, House Finches and a misty moon through the trees.

Beginning my albums a few months ago: March is usually prime time for the Spring flowers to start blooming and after Winters of perhaps holiday spurts, but not much nature photography I get excited about the bursts of color.
